Zoids Chaotic century (most likely) roleplay PROFILE TIEM~! Name: Eira Aeronwen Montero Age: 18 years old, considered young to be at her skill, but some pilots pick up the controls at incredibly young ages, so it's not terribly unusual. Gender: Female Alliance: Ex-Imperial soldier, she defected to the rebel alliance not long ago. Appearance: Her left eye is white as snow and completely blind. She was born partially blind in the eye and over the years it worsened to complete blindness. Her right eye, on the other hand, is perfectly fine and some even debate that she seems to have sharper eyesight in that one remaining eye than any normal human. This makes her an especially good scout, as her keen eye can pick out even the tiniest of details, her hearing on her blind side is also substantially better than most others and as such her blind side is not as vulnerable as one may think. i1114.photobucket.com/albums/k536/PandoraSeraphiel/securedownload-5-1.png her hair looks like this picture, will get post you a link to the finished picture or show it to you personally when its done, this is just a basis for what her hair looks like. Her hair is pure white like her blind eye, and her skin is pale, this is due to her being of mountain origin. Living in the cold, her people are naturally pale skinned and pale haired, but her white locks are unusual, even for her blonde-haired people. Her one good eye is a pale mauve colour. She wears fingerless military-strength gloves, a short-sleeve, waist-length jacket with a high, stiff collar. Her boots are as heavy-duty as they get and her shirt and cargo pants are made from durable military-grade materials. When her piloting helmet is on, she looks every bit the soldier she once used to be. Personality: She can come across as bitter and arrogant in the way she tends to avoid people and speak briskly with them, but she is actually just incredibly shy and feels intimidated amongst large crowds. She is very professional about her work and always reports regularly to her higher officers at the rebellion base, in person or not. Because of her natural aversion to others, she prefers her job as a scout or espionage agent, as it keeps her working mostly solo, which is her preference. She spends far more time in the field than at headquarters. Her Zoid, which she nicknames "Sora" (yes, meaning "Sky"), is one of her few trusted friends, being a more valuable model amongst zoids and having more personality than some lesser, human-made kinds like the common gun-sniper. She cannot speak directly to Sora, of course, as he cannot reply, but he responds to her words and always seems to be around when she needs him. Some think that her Zoid's strong personality is somewhat strange, others suspect it was a "natural" zoid and that is why it has such a strong personality. She rarely speaks to many others, though she does have some friends in the rebellion base. Zoid: A dragon-type Zoid called an "Ixion-wing", Eira refers to her Zoid as Sora for short. Sora is a very loyal Zoid and no-one but Eira can pilot him (the controls seize up for anyone else and will not budge). The Zoid was her father's, though no-one is sure where he got it. Sora was once painted in sky blue, hence his name, meaning 'sky', however he was recently re-painted so only a few key elements are sky blue, the rest being black and midnight blue. This is because he is a stealth unit. Equipped with Strong Footlocks for grip when using its Charged Particle Beam (CPB). Due to normal Ixion-wings not being built for CPB use, Sora has been modified for this capability, however it thus needs a large number of steam release valves and vents to let off heat during the beam's use and after using the beam its battle systems are temporarily frozen, rendering it near-helpless. After using the CPB, Sora will be forced to flee to allow the battle systems time to recover. It's jaws are equipped with Lazer 'Killer' Fangs, and Lazer blades (as on the Blade liger) are equipped on the wings' leading edges, these require power from the Energy Chargers the zoid is equipped with on its hips. the wings of the Zoid are bat-like in shape, similar to the Zabat in build, and generate a magnetic manipulation around the wings through the Magnesser system, the thrust required for take-off and flight is created from the Ion Turbo Booster Unit on the Zoid's back, however due to energy limits, this Zoid cannot sustain fast flight and long-distance flights are largely gliding, using low power heat-fans to generate enough thermal updraft and downforce to maintain flight, like a condor or albatross, and are thus very slow though energy-efficient. This Zoid can only fly in its quadruped form, and is equipped with a Multi-mode battle system, with motion pivots and dual-shafted control systems to allow it to change to its bi-pedal form, thus its fore-paws become more complexly mobile, though only the "thumb" is completely mobile and the other claws have limited mobility. When in the upright battle position, the booster cannot function and the wings cannot flap to provide extra lift, so only short glides are possible. The mouth is equipped with a charged particle beam cannon (thus requiring a Charged Particle generator) and its natural weapon, the "Jet-fire" napalm flood cannon. Working much like a flame-thrower, this jet throws out a stream of napalm (liquid fire) from the heated containment tank in its chest, which can melt and damage the joints of an enemy Zoid, rendering it far less mobile or disabling its weapons, however, due to the fluid nature of the napalm, this weapon is very difficult to aim and strictly close-range. The only long range weapons equipped to this Zoid are the Anti-Zoid (AZ) 144mm beam rifle equipped to the tail-tip and the AZ 208 mm Double-barrelled shock cannons attached to the underbelly, which are only usable in the quadrupedal battle-form. Highly mobile joints, downforce stabilizers and a light-weight, but durable build make this Zoid fast, agile and formidable in close-quarters combat, however its long-range capabilities are extremely limited and when sniping from a range it is completely immobile and vulnerable. It has no shielding capability, but in the bipedal and quadrupedal forms, Eira has discovered the low-intensity E-shields created by the wings can be used to deflect low-power weapons from any where greater than 50 feet away, high-power weapons, lazer blades or shots closer than 50 feet can penetrate or disable this force-field, however. The cockpit is nearly entirely shut in and a computer rendering of what the Zoid's eyes see are projected around the pilot to allow visual orientation. Sora, unlike other Ixion wings, is equipped with Heat vision and a Night vision lens for nighttime jobs. Due to being a scouting Zoid, Sora specifically has been outfitted with a long-range 3D radar and communications transceiver and can disable its weaponry and flight systems when on the ground to activate Heat dispensing and radar scrambling technologies to lessen its heat signature and become invisible to radar, though the closer Sora gets to the radar, the less effective it is. It's joints are specially refitted to be as close to silent as possible to allow for stealth, however this also means it requires very specific engineers when it requires repairs, making the trip back to a mechanic a long one back to the rebellion base. Painted black and midnight blue, this Zoid blends in near flawlessly at night, making it the ultimate spy Zoid. Being an imperial Zoid, the Ixion-wings are closed-in cockpit Zoids and have the trademark green eyes rather than the glass, orange cockpit of rebel Zoids. Normal Ixion-wings are around 9.4 meters high to the shoulder and 29.1 meters long, weighing in at around 78 tons. They have a wingspan of anywhere from 32 to 35 meters. Sora has far heavier armour and extra weaponary and equipment, resulting in him being slightly bigger (10.2 meters high and 31.1 meters long) and heavier (93 tons) than ordinary Ixions. His wingspan has been modified to take the heavier weight and is a huge 40.4 meters at full flight. He has an extra weapon mount on his back for modular weapons, but he would lose a lot of top speed if he carried any more weapons. Normal Ixion wings clock in around 280 km/h, with his modified weight, Sora would normally have lost speed at 200 km/h, but due to speed enhancements, specialised streamlined armour, downforce stabilizers, and more powerful joints to make up for the loss, he actually has gained some speed, having a max speed of 300 km/h, even capable of reaching in the higher speeds using his booster on the ground. This far outclasses most zoids of its size, making the Ixion wing, and Sora especially, a formidable opponent. However, it is not quite as fast as the larger Blade Liger, at 124 tons with a top speed of 305. In slow, long-distance flights an Ixion wing can reach 120 km/h or 64.8 knots. Being slightly heavier, to reach this same speed, Sora's thermal fans are slightly larger and more powerful though they don't need to be much bigger thanks to the larger wingspan. At full-power flight a normal Ixion wing with a simple jet booster can reach just over Mach 1, but with his Ion Power Booster Unit, Sora can reach Mach 2.7, though Zoids built solely for flight such as the Storm Sworder are naturally faster when airborne. SPOILER ALERT highlight to see --> Sora is actually the very first Ixion wing and all the others were created from DNA from his Zoid Core. Lord Montero was saved by him on the mountain one winter and became his pilot by Sora's choice. Each winter would bring sickness and death to their town and because only a jeep was in the town to collect medicine and return it to the town, the medicine could never arrive quick enough, and being herbal often much of the medicine became frost-damaged and useless. When Lord Montero became lost one year on the mountain, he was saved by a mysterious zoid, but to his surprise when he arrived at the town, it was discovered that the zoid was wild and had no pilot. Sora refused to let anyone pilot him and sat outside the Montero home for weeks until Lord Montero made an attempt to pilot him. Supposedly only a Montero can pilot Sora. His presence made getting medicine to the town easier and deaths became rare. When Lord Montero was drafted to war by the imperials, he took Sora with him and that winter Eira's mother was striken with illness and died. She blamed this on the war, and the republicans. Her father never returned, but weeks after the letter announcing his death, Sora found his own way back and Eira became his pilot.History: Born and raised an imperial child into a wealthy family with a loving mother and father, though her father was rarely home, Eira lived a good life in her youngest years and grew up well-mannered and sheltered from the world in her town in the mountains. Her father died when she was 11 years old and she inherited his Zoid, a blue Ixion-wing however she didn't properly pilot the Zoid, whom she came to call Sora, until she was 13, two years later after much practice walking circles in the open plains outside the city she lived in, she then finally gained the skill and courage to spread the Zoid's wings and fly it as it should be. just four years after receiving the Zoid, she joined the imperial army, advancing in rank to lieutenant by 18 years old, just three years of very active and successful military service, when she mysteriously disappeared, soon found to have defected, for unknown reasons, to the rebel alliance. In the rebellion, rumor states that she joined up after she heard of the battle at Red River, when an unknown boy in a shield Liger defeated the imperials soundly, and promptly news had begun to circle of his goals. In truth, yes she did learn from those rumors the true purpose of the rebel alliance and she did join the rebels for that reason, but she has never heard since of the boy in the blue liger. She hopes she never does, as few take well to ex-imperials and she doubts she could defeat such a skilled pilot. After joining the rebellion and being assigned an espionage status, she repainted much of her Zoid black and midnight blue, leaving only a few points of interest the sky-blue that gave it the name she calls it by. She is currently crossing the plains alone and is nearing a small town where she hopes to find information on the whereabouts of a hidden imperial outpost she was sent to investigate. Other: despite having only one eye, her aim is not to be underestimated, she has an amazing ability for sniping outside her Zoid and is never helpless in a hand-to-hand or gun-fight. Being slender and somewhat short due to her age, she is light on her feet and excellent at sneaking into tightly-guarded places. However, her timid nature can lead her into trouble at times, so it is good that she is very skilled at her work and rarely gets caught out. ~~~ Soooo, what's the plan for story? sorry about the long profile XD but hey, detail helps right? so yeah, will upload images later or show you them on Sunday or whatevs and yes, I made a reference to an actual episode XD shut up its more fun that way. Also, I say that Sora has a strong personality, but he's still a Zoid, so its not THAT out there. tell me your story ideas and show me your character and then we can get started! YAY!

Name: Agni Iacchus Dalgaard Age: 20 Ghost Alias: "Hunter" Gender: Male Alliance: Rebel 'Sympathiser' Appearance: Athletic in build, and quite tall, standing at six foot tall. His hair is short and mousy-blonde, in comparison to his bright blue eyes, which help each other stand out quite tremendously. His face is lean and angular with a stern expression-set. Under his left eye, he has a blue tattoo shaped like an uspide-down tick and a pointed line outside, closer to his ear, pointing down. Personality: A headstrong youth, Agni's quick-tempered and determined, with a sincerity that seems ill at odds with what is mostly displayed. Hot-headed, Agni has a firm sense of right and wrong, with an outlandish grasp on reality. Pensive and very caring, Agni has a natural affinity for helping those he feel are in need, because he has been in that position, where no one would help him and his little sister after his father was captured and tortured. Zoid: In the beginning, Agni pilots a Shadowfox in battle from age sixteen. He's an amazing pilot, so long as his emotions are reigned in. As story progresses; Agni will capture a Geno Saurer, into capturing a Geno Breaker, and finally a Berserk Fury. These will take a very long to acquire, and will probably become parts of Agni's greater missions as a rebel. They'll become his main Zoid task force, and he'll use Zoid's suited to his needs in various situations. History: As a young boy, Agni looked after his younger sister with her as his charge. He felt if she were hurt, it was his responsibility and fault, so he protected her always. It was a duty his father bestowed on him, before he went off to fight the Imperials in the local skirmishes. His mother was loving and kept them under her watchful gaze while he was away, but went sick with worry. She eventually passed away, and left her two children unattended. Six months later; their father was returned to them, though he was seriously wounded. Spending another six months in hospital, Agni continued to care for his baby sister. When thirteen, he was given the opportunity to pilot a Zoid, and thus he began to participate in battles, as his skill grew. Which happened at an alarming rate. He was so adept, that they quickly declared him as their "Hunter". ((I think that'll do for now. What do you think of it? Will he do? As far as story is concerned, where should we start?))

((I like it! ^^ I think he's well written out I'll temporarily play Agni's little sister if she needs to talk at any point provides some extra interaction XD)) The wind howled across the open desert, the only sounds were of creaking and buzzing insects around the town, the shuffling footsteps of villagers going about their routines, and the soft murmur of chatter. The sun beat down on them as mercilessly as ever, but the villagers were used to the heat, it bothered them little. This peace was something the people here were well accustomed to, nobody really cared to venture out here, it was far too hot. One or two travelers or transporters might pass through every so often, but it was generally just the townspeople and the baking heat of the sun on dry earth. Despite this, the town was not at all a slum and its people were content. Their fields were adapted to these climates and grew despite the dry, packed earth and crippling heat. The people traded what they needed amongst each other and went about their lives with smiles on their faces. But every now and then, the peace would be disturbed...the imperials were always sending their messengers to try and convince the town to submit to imperial law...but they refused and refused. They would not have imperial war-dogs ruling their streets and ruining their way of life, not ever. Usually this was no big matter, they just refused and the messengers went grudgingly on their way back home...but that changed this time. The peace was suddenly broken as the dry ground being to shake under the rumble of heavy metallic feet. The townspeople near the edge of the village fled first, having seen the danger first, and it wasn't long before the others began to run to their homes as well; whereas in the past it had always been one or two minimally-armed scouting zoids that had brought the treaty papers, this time was entirely different. A huge unit of at least 20 battle-class zoids thundered across the packed desert soil, their steel hooves, claws and paws crushing the earth beneath them and sending cracked plates of rocky earth flipping and tumbling across the ground and spewing a cloud of dust behind them. As they neared the town, 17 stopped, but the front three Zoids marched up to the very borders of the town, in the lead a menacing grey Zaber Fang, with the two other zoids -obviously it's closest subordinates- close behind. On the Zaber Fang's right was a Fierce looking Rev Raptor, kitted out with a lot of very heavy weaponary, and on his left was a uniquely dragon-like zoid, a fairly new type that in future would come to be known as an "Ixion Wing", painted in sky blue. The 3 Zoids' cockpits swung open and the pilots emerged to stand at the tips of their zoids' faces, the commander glaring down at the few villagers, including its leader, that stepped forward. "you know the drill, old man! We've shown this insolent village of yours enough mercy, we request that you sign the treaty and submit to the emperor's rule immediately, or face the consequences for treason to the great Emperor!" The tall, broad-shouldered man bellowed, spittle flying as he growled his orders, clearly more brawn in his person than brains. His right-hand man grinned maliciously, looking unsettled and in anticipation of something, a sadistic look in his eyes that could be seen even from the ground so far below the Zoids. The left side soldier however was a woman, or rather a young girl, standing on the head of her huge, winged zoid, seeming calm and serious, as if she didn't care what came next, all she cared about was following her imperial leaders to the end. If these villagers wanted to defy her emperor, then so be it, kill she would...

The quaking of the ground was enough of a tell-tale sign that Zoids were headed for his home. Agni and his little sister were asked to stay put, by their father; but he just couldn't do it. His home needed protection, and so did his sister. So if his father was out fighting, why couldn't he? He was eighteen, he had his own Zoid for combat situations, so why should he sit back? There was no better way he could protect his sister, than to take the fight to them. His younger sister, Mercia could see right through his thin veneer, and knew already what he was planning.
"You can't go, Agni! You can't leave me!" "I'll be back soon, Mercia. You know I will." "Don't go!"
Scowling; he stalked out of the safe area that they were hiding in, beneath the Zoid hangar bay, to get to his Shadowfox, and into the fight, by his fathers side. He had to be out there; they were guaranteed to be out-numbered, so even with his one Shadowfox, he could help make even the difference between death and enslavement to an Imperial cause they cared nothing for. He climbed into his cock-pit with aid, and once the cockpit closed, and the systems came to life, Agni felt back at home. He hurt, having left his sister unaccompanied, but he had to protect her. She meant everything to him. He trained hard to be able to protect her, and if he couldn't succeed, he was a horrible brother. It was his duty to protect her life, from all threats.
And so he sped out of the hangar, as fast as 'Night' would take him, to meet the rest of the villagers in their Zoids. Very soon, he had reached the 8 other Zoids the village had in their protection, and upon seeing nearly two dozen Imperial Zoids, a number of which were the new model 'Ixion Wing' model they'd heard rumours about, he knew they were in very real danger. His Zoid 'Night' as he happily called his Shadowfox, would only do so much good against aerial predators. He could camouflage, and jam their radars, but if one of them took flight; he would be completely inept at fending them off. Coming up alongside the seemingly freshly arrived villagers, his cockpit opened and he saw the three main leaders of this Imperial attack force. Anger rising, he called out to them.
"We live here in peace. Get away from here, before we make you!" and sat back down, his cockpit closing sharply. The turret on Night's back spinning up, for warning. A light gust blew over the area, and Agni's father and the rest of the local Zoid pilots took to combat positions. Any villagers still outside, deciding to get to the safety of the hangar as fast as possible.
"Now. Decide, already..." he whispered to himself, safely inside his cockpit.

The commander growled irritatedly, then, stepping back to sit back down in his zoid's cockpit, the Zaber Fang's loud speaker crackling to life as he made his decision, his commanders already aware and already activating battle systems. "so be it! This village is hearby declared a hostile foe of the imperial army and is to be exterminated, along with ALL of it's rebel inhabitants! OPEN FIRE!" the moment the call was sounded, the entire unit began advancing. The Ixion wings in the rear group were little armoured and lightly weaponed, being recently made and expensive models, but the one in front was heavily clad in its sky-blue armour and although it seemed lacking weaponry, it soon became clear it was armed -literally- to the teeth, as its claws and fangs began to glow menacingly with energy, becoming so white-hot they could easily slice through a Zoid without so much as a twinge of effort. The commander's Zoid headbutted two of the village zoids out of its path and left them and the other 7 zoids to his suboordinates, making straight for the village, letting loose missiles immediately, the ground giving a terrible heave as the warheads struck the dirt and exploded into fireballs and deadly shrapnel began to flash through the air. First to go was their fields, which due to being so dry, erupted into flames instantly, then the nearest buildings to the explosions began to crumble and woman and children quickly tried to flee for safety.
Some of the village Zoids attempted to follow the grey imperial Zoid, but the girl in the sky blue Ixion Wing wouldn't allow it, and throttled up her zoid to full speed, the light-weight model dashing forward to slam into the nearest Zoid, its head angled down so that the long, metallic horns skewered into the mechanical creature's side, piercing through it and into its core. The dragon zoid tossed its head sideways and cast the crippled wreck off to the side carelessly, the pilot managing to eject just in time to avoid the explosion of his Zoid. The dragon then turned, just in time for a large green-painted Command Wolf to slam full-throttle into it's chest, the two Zoids toppling over to the dirt, the wolf quickly recovering, such was it's pilot's skill.
Inside the Ixion Wing's cockpit, a white-haired girl turned her one mauve eye to her scenery projections, pushing her Zoid up to full speed and charging into her green opponent again. the two Zoids lifted their paws and locked claws, metallic joints creaking and squealing under the strain as several tonnes worth of metal clashed together. but the command wolf was disadvantaged at this range, and the Ixion Wing's long flexible neck allowed it to reach around and bite into the metal of its opponent's nape. The shrill wail of metal being shredded near-deafened her in her Zoid, but the girl only made her Zoid bite down harder. The command wolf wasn't giving up and the pilot desperately pulled at the controls to pull the canine Zoid away, but despite managing to get its feet on ground and mobile again, the Ixion Wing's fangs were embedded deep and were not budging.
This close, the girl could see through the rebel Zoid's feeble glass cockpit and recognised the pilot as an old rebel soldier. His name mattered not to her, all she knew is that he was a wanted man in the Imperial Army and she would find so much glory for her family and her empire if she saw that she took away his last breaths. There was a discomforting gurgle and a determined glare crossed the girl's face as her Zoid heated up it's Napalm jets in its jaws, and as the green wolf beneath continued to struggle feebly, its pilot growing ever more desperate to escape, a deadly hot, liquid fire spewed from the dragon Zoid's jaws and flooded into the wolf's workings through the hideous gouges that its much larger opponent had ripped in its nape. At that moment, the girl let the Zoid go and watched it collapse helplessly onto the dirt. Before she had a chance to finish it off, she was pounced by two other Zoids, cheap, common models barely worth a nip from her mighty Ixion wing.
As soon as she had thrown them off, the girl turned her Zoid to rake out the inner workings of one the zoids with its claws, before stamping down on the other and crushing its legs, leaving it immobile on the dirt. She cared not for killing rookie pilots in crappy old tin-cans, no she wanted honour and glory, and she could only get that by finishing off the old man in his command wolf. "ah yes, that was your name wasn't it...?" she mused over the comm-link, her voice without any remorse or -in fact- any emotion at all. "Commander Dalgaard...?" She lifted her zoid into an upright battle position, something only the best of the Ixion Wings could do, ready to crush her zoid's full weight down on the cockpit of the zoid beneath her and the pilot as well. "you used to be a great commander, they say...it's a shame...you seem to have lost your touch, losing to a girl...or perhaps I'm just a better soldier than you ever were...rebel scum." she glared down at the rebel she was about to kill, naively believing them to be nothing more than savages to be slaughtered for the good of the empire. "long live the empire. Glory to the Emperor!" The heavy hind leg of her Zoid lifted, hovering over the command wolf's head, ready to finally find her fame and her glory.

Agni brought Night in, rearing and swung it's paw at one of the Imperial Zoid's as it tried to lash at him also. He brought the radar jammers online, and began dispersing a thick cloud of black smoke, to confuse his enemies and hide himself within. A Zoid could only fight if they could see, and Night was practically invisible in the black shadows, even if he were directly before them. He ambled up behind one of the models he did recognise from the Imperials, and using his Shadowfox's mighty fangs; tore a great hole in the opposing Zoid's flank. The rending of metal and tearing of important cooling ducts was a soothing melody, as he fought -literally- tooth and nail for his village. In another few moments, he and another villager had disabled and practically destroyed the Zoid entirely, and were both moving onto new prospects, when he heard a young feminine voice echo his own surname. Instinctively; his attentions drew to his father's Command Wolf.
He looked in horror as a sky blue Ixion-Wing raised a mighty leg to crush the head of his father's distinctive green Command Wolf, and watched in muted shock as the leg fell upon the defenceless Zoid's dog-like head. The scream of anguish, pain, guilt, and madness that escaped him tore through his own Zoid's external comm, even before he consciously charged the well-armed and armoured Ixion-Wing. As he charged, he initiated the firing sequence for his rear-mounted turret, and loosed round upon round, on the sky-blue Ixion; his only thought to eradicate the bitch who killed his father so cruelly.
"You evil, heartless, MURDERER! You killed my father! You killed my father!" he kept repeating, blinded by a fury, so intense, he wasn't even in control of his Zoid; it was all instinct, fighting. Nothing of his mind participated in the battle anymore. It was pure, undisturbed, unguided rage. Where the sky-blue Ixion fought back, Night and Hunter retreated, if another ventured a chance at him, the stealth systems were engaged and the other Zoid was soon disengaging from the combat centre, damaged in some way from Shadowfox and his pilot. The damage was substantial. If he were dropped into an undefencible situation; the rest of the villagers leapt to his aid. They even followed his lead as he struck at the Imperials if they dragged their feet for too long. On several exchanges; Hunter and Night came out unharmed, while the villagers bore down on damaged prey that he left unfinished.
Once they had left the Imperials with only 8 Zoids fully functional - including the commander and his two favoured subordinates - the villagers had only lost three themselves. Hunter had proven to be a hero, if not a rally icon, for the few villagers. The damage they wrouht had been unbelievable; and yet, Agni was not satisfied.
The sky blue Ixion-Wing had not been harmed by him in the least. And his father's Command Wolf, as well as his very father, demanded blood.
"Fight me, Ixion!" he roared.

The girl glared at the boy opposing her through the visual comms screen that had opened before her, pulling the visor on her helmet up so the boy could see her face and would remember it in death. "so you're that rebel bastard's son, are you? Well I'll cleanse Zi of you too, then. I accept your challenge, rebel savage!" she said calmly, her voice not mirroring the disgust in her words. Her zoid, seemingly of its own accord, thumped its heavy tail on the ground and gave a threatening, metallic roar, as if to taunt its opponent. "you're father was sadly too old to fight anymore, he was pitifully easy to defeat. Or maybe it was because his zoid was an old wreck...either way you'll prove far more of a challenge if you're anything like he used to be." she said over the voice-only link, as she flipped her visor back down and charged her zoid forward into the battle, the zoid leaning forward to run on all four legs once again, the cannons mounted on its chest firing off round after round, the huge metal slugs making threatening 'thumps' as they impacted the soil and ricocheting off the rocks. Whatever the foe's reaction to the machine-gun fire was, the dragon made its next move immediately, the fore-claws beginning to glow once again, ready to tear the Shadowfox before it to ribbons. "you'll never triumph over the empire! I'll see to that myself!" Her voice finally began to lose some calm, a tiny grumble of anger or perhaps hatred lacing through her previously emotionless voice. "You rebel barbarians don't belong on this planet...I'll cleanse the world of every last one of you!" Her zoid growled again, tossing its head angrily, flashing its long metal fangs, eyes glowing menacingly from the visual sensors behind the emerald glass. The zoid seemed almost to be as taunting as its pilot, but it was just as deadly serious as her as well...its sights set on its target, the dragon sprung into the air, claws flashing and spreading wide, ready to tear apart its opponent once it had the chance.

Agni wasn't even listening to her words. The face he saw, was going to stick in the back of his mind for the rest of his days, as he was going to see to it personally, that she die a horrible death, as she did to his father so mercilessly. This bitch would pay. Dalgaard's Shadowfox moved as swiftly as he reacted. They were almost in perfect harmony: both so blinded by rage and fury, that only death remained in their sight. Agni still didn't control himself; he was still so amped up on revenge and charged by fury, malice, hatred and rage, that he simply could not stop. Would not stop. His enemy must die. At any cost.
And so it started, she rushed toward him, the attack seemingly a slash with claws. Had he not been so blinded by rage, he would have counted on a feint attack; but he was, and so he activated his camouflage and leapt to the left, and tore along behind the dragon-zoid, and de-cloaked, beginning to fire it's back-mounted turret once more. The rounds hissing through the air like flying needles of death. From there, he activated the smoke release and unleashed another cover of smoke - all that he had left - and waited for the Ixion pilot to either move away, and leave themselves wide open for machine-gun fire, or come in close, and risk having fangs bear down around the zoid.

The girl had expected more than a simple dodge from the son of a former commander, but alas, all the boy did was dodge around her slash and dart behind her, cloaked. Unfortunately for him, despite his efforts to surprise her, she was too serious a battler to fall for such a simple trick and effortlessly sidestepped the last of his cannon-rounds. When he released the smoke she sighed almost disappointedly. "oh, so you rely on your opponents never seeing you coming, then? I guess that means you don't really have any skill after all...that's a pity, I was hoping for an actual challenge." Her zoid didn't need orders to know what happened next. It's stance widened for stability and its wings lifted from its back to spread wide, the massive wingspan reaching out longer than the full head-to-tail length of the zoid's body, from wingtip to wingtip. As soon as the wings were spread the low-intensity field activated to form the stable wing shape in a pulsating blue-green aura around the metal base-wing, the Ixion-wing then began to flap its huge wings, claws gripped to the earth to prevent takeoff, the wind easily blowing aside the smoke-screen. "come on, don't tell me that's all you got? you didn't really think a cheap trick like that could work on me, did you?" the pilot taunted, voice as flat and unnervingly soft-toned as ever. Her zoid spotted its target and turned to face it, lifting its wings and bellowing out a deafening roar of fury, before its pilot pushed the throttles forward, urging it into a full sprint, the long tail behind it extending its joints to become more flexible as the spines on its tip began glowing. At the same time, a pair of long, razor sharp blades unfolded from their hidden sheathe in the leading edge of the zoid's wings, also glowing viciously with power. This would be a true test of skill; if the fox zoid and its pilot could come out of this attack unscathed or minimally so, THEN the young girl would be impressed, if not...well they'd be dead soon after anyway. Her zoid feigned a leaping attack, before it plunged itself quickly under its opponent's reach, aiming to seize the fox's underbelly or throat in its powerful jaws, the wings spreading and stretching forward to try and skewer the slightly hooked blades there into the shoulder joints. for more lightly built zoids like a Rev Raptor, this attack was a fatal one, as it would easily tear the limbs clean off, though she had never fought a Shadow Fox before, and was unsure how its joints were built and supported, all she could do was hope the pilot wasn't skilled enough to dodge and that the zoid's limbs were too frail to withstand being pulled away, perpendicularly, from the main body. Even if the wing blades missed their target, she was at least expecting to have no trouble grabbing the zoid and pinning it. From what she had witnessed thus far, this Dalgaard was no more than a fledgling pilot, and she doubted he could get away from her, with her military experience and high level of training, especially when he was piloting such a feeble rebel zoid.

Agni growled as his opponent simply blew his smoke-screen away, and his Shadowfox followed suit. But when she charged; he duplicated the move. Running headlong into her Ixion-Wing, it was the best maneouvre he could do. Not least of all, the only option he had left. Running all-out towards each other, Night and Hunter powered through the earth towards their enemies: the Ixion-Wing and it's young female pilot. As he ran, he knew what he must do to counter-act what she would have her zoid do to him.
And so he coiled his Zoid's leg muscles and leapt. Rising above the Ixion, Hunter made Night kick at the girls Zoid as it flew at it. And above, Night bore his fangs down on the base of the zoids wing, the metal rending against the metal and the damage spilling over as much as possible. Agni knew his zoid was in peril, and he was glad for his company. If they died together, he'd be at peace with that. Because without his Zoid, if he were to die in vengeance, it would be very lonely.
The only problem he had with his own mortality, was if that bitch didn't die with him. And so he had Night continue to kick and claw and bite. All the while, he roared inside his cockpit.

The pilot in the Ixion-wing screamed in frustration, her air of calm finally snapping as her zoid thrashed about and snarled, trying to get its attacker off of it. So far only minor damage had been sustained to any crucial components, its sky-blue armour taking the worst of the attacks. finally the girl was fed up with the idiot's damn persistence. "that's IT, now you'll PAY! You rebel bastard!" she snarled, her zoid lifting its wings, damaged and unbalanced as one of the was, it was not crippled. It gave a powerful flap and powered itself into the air, the booster on its back firing up, the after-burner firing dangerously close to the fox that clung to its back like a leech to skin. The dragon then powered itself towards the nearest building, turning to booster off and rolling midair to attempt to slam its little parasite into the stone bricked buildings. as it did so it turned its wing fields up until the generators at its hips were whirring loudly with the strain and pulled them forward to try and minimise any damage it might also sustain from the impact. Whatever the outcome, the dragon immediately got back up, despite its left rear leg groaning in protest past a now-warped joint. It raised its fore-claw and slammed it down towards its opponent's throat, trying to pin the foe, its eyes now glowing furiously, as if the zoid too were just as enraged as its master. "SON OF A BITCH! DIE you rebel SCUM!" the girl growled, her voice sounding strained to be snarling as it was, given her usual tone was very quiet. He'd tried to destroy her father's zoid, the only memory of him she had left and worse yet, he was a rebel ally, and she couldn't STAND rebels...

On the outside, the rest of the Imperials and the villagers watched the fight as it played out. Villagers horrified and revolted, while the Imperialists saw only scum being removed. Rebel scum, as they were calling them. Finally, sense returned to Agni, and he roared in frustration. "I'm not a rebel, you bitch! But you killed my father, and now you PAY!" he shouted through the comms link, so all could hear. And as she attempted to scramble free, Hunter made Night tighten it's hold on the Ixion's wing-joint. His maw clamping shut even tighter than before, and his forelegs kicking and scratching at the dragon-Zoids face. The dragon-zoid plummeted into one of the towns buildings, and it crumbled around Night and Hunter, as they struggled to break free, though the Dragon's hold was strong. All hope seemed lost, until Agni realised defeat was not an option. He still had to protect his little sister. At fifteen, she couldn't protect herself, and if he died, the village would soon be unsafe for her. The Imperials would rain terror on their humble home in the desert.
He had no reason to surrender, quit, or worse; to die. He was getting his second wind, as she attempted to crush his Zoid's throat and made his Zoid roll away. Moving out from his opponents war-path, he swung his left forepaw at the dragon zoid's wing, aiming to destabilise it's ability to fly away from him.
"Die, you Imperialist bitch!" he cried, fury still controlling his mind.

"Your father was a rebel, that makes you rebel trash, too, brat!" The girl snarled when the boy denied his alliance with the rebellion. After the impact with the building and her successful pinning of the fox her zoid moved to bite down on the zoid's head and crush its vital components, but it rolled away just in time for the jaws to snap down on empty space, making a loud clap of metal on metal like thunder after a lightning strike. The zoid roared angrily and got up on its hind legs to try and avoid the swing of the fox's fore-paw, narrowly avoiding further damage to its wings. the zoid then pivoted on one foot to turn around and attempt to slam the heavy, armed tip of its tail into the other zoid's head and nape, turning the mobile spines so that one was pointed either direction, creating a deadly bludgeon. "Your father died because he was a wanted man! You and him are nothing but rebel trash! You scumbags are nothing but savages! You rebels are the reason the military exists! We exist to keep the people of our great empire safe from rebel bastards like you! I'll never let you barbarians defeat the empire! NEVER!" she snarled, now almost sounding as hysterical and enraged as the boy on the other end of the comms line. Her father was dead because of rebels...when he went off to protect them in the war, he was killed by rebel scum like this boy and his late father...so what if he'd lost his father? that made them even...her father was dead, thanks to rebel trash like this kid and his father, so why shouldn't he suffer the same pain? It was his fault after all. He could pilot a zoid, so it was his fault his father was dead for not protecting him...these things happened in war...but her dad...she was 11 years old when he died...she didn't know how a zoid worked, let alone how to pilot one, what could she have done for her father? nothing. So now that she was a pilot, she had to make sure he was avenged...by cutting down every last one of the bastards who had killed him... "so what if your father's dead?! War takes people's family away! you should have expected this sort of thing when you rebels defied the empire! It's all YOUR fault this war started in the FIRST place!" she snapped, wheeling her zoid around following the attack to attempt to snap down on the fox, whether the attack from the bludgeon on its tail succeeded or not.

Agni was bolstered by his own rage, when she screamed in frustration. Seemingly, she shared his passionate hatred against people who killed family. Agni didn't care; this bitch killed his father right before his eyes, and he was going to get some revenge. So what if her own father was dead. He'd probably had it coming, as an Imperialist bastard with a hatred against honest, hard-working people. Rage clouded her mind as easily as it clouded his. The trouble was; he didn't yet know if rage made her invincible - as it nearly made him - or left her fragile, weak, powerless in combat.
"You think war takes families apart? Then why do you bring war to innocent people?! You Imperialists are just a bunch of heart-less war-mongerers, with nothing else to occupy your time with!"
Night avoided the bludgeon by a reactive instinct of Hunter's piloting, and transferred his momentum to leaping above the Ixion-Wing, and narrowly avoiding her Zoid as it reared up, in an effort to crush him, the same way she crushed his father. There wasn't much else he would be able to do in this fight. Shadowfox was running out of tricks, and her Ixion-Wing was hardly damaged by him and his Zoid. He was in very real danger, and he was running out of tricks of his own.
"What do you expect us to do, when you and your Imperial buddies come into a peaceful little village in the middle of nowhere, and tell us we're rebels, because we don't want Imperial control! Go to hell, you bastards!"

The girl snarled angrily when the shadowfox dodged her every attack, screaming in frustration. "Damnit! Hold still, you slippery rebel SNAKE and let me put you out of your damn misery!" she growled, wheeling her zoid around to slam it into the shadowfox as it landed, before it would have a chance to move aside, but in doing so, she flipped the zoid and unwittingly left her zoid's less-armoured underbelly within range of the fox's claws.
She realised this mistake too late to fix her slip-up and instead decided that even if the zoid took the opportunity, it's claws were not nearly as long or deadly as her own zoid's so she made the decision that if she would be pulled out of the battle for damage, she would leave this zoid mangled as well. The Ixion-wing knew her commands before she needed to give them and lifted a claw to slash a savage gouge out of the fox's face, cracking the glass cockpit and sending shards of orange glass raining down inside the cockpit, though the majority of the shielding remained intact, crafted specifically so it wouldn't shatter completely. But before the zoid could stab its claws into the fox's chest to finish it off, and before her pwn zoid could take any more damage from the fox than it had already done thanks to her mistake, the girl felt her entire world jolt sharply off-angle and once she was again aware of her orientation, she bacame aware that something had crashed full-pelt into her zoid and sent it toppling, damaging its front right leg rather badly from the awkward impact angle with the hard earth. Her zoid righted itself, though it was unable to stand on its now-wounded leg and angled its head for itself and its pilot to see what had sent it toppling. It was the battered remains of the Rev Raptor that had lead the group of imperial zoids...looking back up, her eyes and her zoids both met with a horrid scene: Only one rebel zoid remained standing besides the shadow fox and it quickly collapsed to the ground and exploded, after its pilot promptly ejected, having done their duty in saving Dalgaard's son. The entirety of the imperial group had somehow been defeated, and on closer inspection it appeared they had been their own undoing...crushed by the very buildings they had tried to destroy, though a great many others lay crumpled and destroyed, their pilots likely dead as well, under the remains of the rebel zoids that had sacrificed themselves to defeat them. Her leader however, in his grey Zaber Fang was fleeing the scene like a coward, followed by the only two imperial zoids that remained, barking the order to retreat. "b-but we can't! Imperials NEVER surrender! Never!" The girl shriekked, infuriated by her commander's cowardice. "I can take this scrap-heap! We don't need to run now!" she growled, though her zoid growled in disagreement, as if to insist it could no longer fight. "Sergeant Montero, this is a direct order! We are withdrawing NOW!" her superior growled, turning his badly damaged and no-longer battle-capable Zaber Fang to begin running. "NO!" Montero shrieked, sounding near hysterical at the thought of fleeing like cowards. "Just you wait, Dalgaard! This isn't over!" she growled angrily to the still-moving though equally severely damaged shadow fox that remained. "You haven't won! I could have beaten you, and I will someday! Someday when a superior's cowardice can't stop me!" she turned her zoid to flee then, running after what was left of her formerly much larger unit, anger still clouding her vision in red. Her blue zoid was gone over the ridge before long, the shimmer of sky blue and flash of damaged, sparking limbs vanishing in the near-distance.
~~~~~~~
She sat motionless, staring at the parched earth before her, her hands not even at the controls, since her zoid already knew where they were going. She heard a familiar low blipping and glanced down at the main console, on which words were appearing. 'WE ARE NEARING THE DESTINATION.' was written in digital, luminescent letters across the main console's screen. It was the only means of communication her zoid had, and even then he didn't really talk, he only acknowledged orders or provided suggestions and information on the screen, the only true emotive reactions he ever had to her speaking was physical actions. He could sort-of laugh and often seemed to show eagerness or minor indisposition but he did not communicate exactly. Personalities were the most any zoids had. "Understood, I'll take the controls now." The young woman stated simply, her voice only audible because the cockpit was silent otherwise. She unfolded her arms and took hold of the controls, guiding her zoid away from the town she was nearing, towards a small canyon in the sides of the cliffs not too far away, preferring to leave her zoid well out of town whenever she stopped somewhere. Once she her destination, she twisted her controls carefully so that the zoid would lay itself down upon the dusty soil and lower its head to the ground to make it easier to get out. She then pressed a button on the side of the control panel and began to stand, the cockpit of her zoid opening to let her out, before she hopped down to the ground below, slinging her bag over her shoulder as the hiss of the cockpit closing again sounded behind her. She waved over her shoulder at her faithful, robotic companion before beginning the reasonably long walk back to the town. Her shoulders were wrapped in a short cloak, long enough just to cover her shoulders and her bare upper arms, and the hood was pulled up to shield her pale-skinned face from the beating rays of the sun. As she entered the town, she was accosted by the city guards, who first made sure she was not carrying any unauthorised armaments into the community, before they let her through without any further trouble. She went straight for the market first, buying a few supplies for her next trip, and paying the vendors before she then went to the tavern for the usual. She always stopped in the taverns at whatever town she passed through, to look for information. She had no true assignment now, but she had put it upon herself to find and exterminate the man she once called her commanding officer. "hey! now we don't see a pretty little face like yours out in these parts very often, lady!" the bar-tender remarked, as she pulled off her hood to settle on a stool by the bar. "what brings a mountain girl so far from home, eh? you got a name, sweetheart?" She rolled her eyes, one distinctly blind and the other a pale mauve. "...Montero, you have no need of my first name. I'm here to ask for information if you have it." the woman replied, not at all impressed by the man's attempt at getting her attention. "wow, you've got some attitude! Not common for such a pretty face! So who or what are you trying to get the dirt on, eh missy?" he asked, picking up another glass to polish it clean with the cloth in his hand. "this man," She replied, flicking her silver-white hair from her face as she flipped a picture to the man. "goes by Commander J. Halvardus. He pilots a grey Zaber Fang" she said flatly, her one eye fixing the man with an intense gaze. "hmm...Halvardus sounds familiar, Miss Montero, but I can't say I've seen no Grey Zabers around here lately. Think he's an Imperial though, why you trying to find one of them dirty scum?" he asked, looking a bit suspicious. "don't get your undies in a knot, old man, I'm only looking for a bit of payback for something he did long ago, I'm no imperial dog." she sneered, seeing the distrust in the man's face, sounding almost disgusted to be thought to be imperial...she'd thrown that towel in long ago. "okay, okay, I believe you, then. I think he showed up in this town not too long ago, he works shift at the outpost not too far north o' here. Them imperial dogs have found something up that way, seems pretty important for a general to be there, too, but I can't say I know-" "wait, there's a general up that way?" she cut in, seeming confused. "as in, "Geno-Saurer"?" she clarified, waiting for the man to nod in reply. "yeah, that's right! One of them big black Genos is there, so whatever it is, it's gotta be pretty important. If your going up there, I'd be careful, that Geno is a nasty piece of work!" He confirmed, the girl thanking him and tossing him a small sum of coins for the information, pulling her hood back on and heading for the door, ignoring his warnings. So what if there was a Geno Saurer, she knew that outpost well, she'd served there once as perimeter guard, she wouldn't even need to worry about that Geno Saurer, all she needed to worry about was getting in and putting an end to Halvardus. 'it's the only way I have left to repent for my years as an Imperial murderer...' that was why she needed to kill him. She's head back to he zoid then, not noticing the group of men in the corner of the bar who had been watching the whole time and listening to her conversation. One of them knew that face well...he had someone who needed to know about that girl. He hadn't heard the whole conversation before he left, only that the girl was looking for someone named Halvardus. The eaves-dropper had gone straight to the far side of town, right to the location of an old Shadowfox and its pilot. "'ey Dalgaard sir! I think that you might want to hear this..." he panted as he ran up to the man in question.
