Gippal raised his eyes up to Tseng and scratched his head. "Operates in the lifestream? " He suddenly remembered a few years ago when him and his friends including Yuna, Rikku and Paine, had to try and defeat a presence in their farplane. Could they be so similar that it is easily penetrable.
Rikku shrugged. "Well Yunie can speak to the Fayth back home.." She tapped her head lightly with her finger. "Doesn't Aerith do something like that? " Rikku said remembering what she heard back in the dining hall.

Zack nodded as Rikku spoke, instantly drawing the lines of similarity between Yuna and Aerith. "Both of them can communicate with the realms of the dead and the will of the collective life-force of the planet..." He massaged his eyes, knowing that their disappearance would be a hindrance in more ways than one.
"The creature felt threatened, because Aerith and Yuna were the ones able to expose its presence... and obviously it felt, its weakness." He groaned, "It took them to protect itself."

"We know nothing yet, lets just not assume things!" Gippal growled at how the group was getting a little aggravated. He placed his hand on Tidus' shoulder trying to relax him. "Look.. we still got the kid back at.." Gippal paused as he searched for the name, "Edge."
Cloud put away his sword and finished off what Gippal was implying. "Perhaps we can get some information from it"

Zack shot Tseng a very dark look as he spoke, suggesting that the women may in fact already be dead by the creature's er... 'hands'.
"Do not give up so easily." He snapped, pointing angrily at the Turk "I will die before that monster has the chance to ruin the lives of anyone else i care about." He let his hand drop, "Mark my words... i swear it on my Honour as SOLDIER." He turned then, heading back to the helicopter.
It was obvious that Zack meant what he said, swearing on his honour was the greatest oath Zack could ever make.

Tseng looked away then, following Zack.
"Only half of us will fit in the chopper!" Reno called out.
"Some of you are gunna have to use the ship you came in."

Rikku ran past the others and towards the helicopter. She trusted the shopper than the ship that the other Cid piloted.
"I'll stay behind..." Cloud said folding his arms. "Zack.." He looked over to his best mate. "Perhaps you should go with Reno" he suggested tilting his head to the chopper slightly

Zack paused when he heard Reno yell, listening as Cloud suggested he should go in the chopper.
"OK..." He agreed, abnormal for the SOLDIER, who usually would argue that him staying behind was the better option, "I'll give Cid a call and have him come pick you guys up...." The SOLDIERs voice was flat as he nodded to his blonde friend and headed for the chopper.

"I'm going too," Tidus said stubbornly, storming to the helicopter after Zack.
Reno stared at the blonde.
"Uh... sure thing," he said, settling into the pilot seat.
"Director?"
Tseng shook his head.
"I think I should remain behind."

"Why did you head down that tunnel in the first place?" Cloud asked Tseng and Rufus, though his tone was not harsh.
Gippal watched as the helicopter left Midgar, leaving himself, Cloud and another two still in Midgar waiting for the airship.

Though Zack disliked having to leave behind the two people he wanted to talk too behind, he did not voice any complaints, simply sitting in the co-pilot seat with his headphones on.
Rufus sighed heavily and rubbed his head as Cloud posed his question. Folding his arms and turning to face the tunnel he took his time in answering.
"It was the President's access to Reactor Zero. We felt perhaps that was where the creatures were originating from." He shook his head, realising now that going this way had been a fools decision... and he'd possibly killed two people, nearly three, in making it.

Tseng crossed his arms behind his back, looking away.
"Aerith felt something in there... I suppose she's never wrong."
"We'll be touching down in two minutes you lot," Reno announced as the helicopter pulled away toward Edge.

Cloud rubbed his eyes with his gloved hand and sighed. He wished he had been there when it happened.. he might of been able.. to do something?
Rikku was shaking in her seat. "Oh can't you go any faster" she asked as she leaned forward in the chopper.

Zack didn't give Reno a reply, he simply glanced at him as he was speaking, to show he was paying attention, and then turned his eyes back out to stare blankly as the ruined city moved away beneath them.
Rufus sighed, reaching into his pocket and producing a pen, which he span absently between is fingers.
"perhaps you'd best call Cid now Tseng." he instructed softly.

Tseng nodded.
"Yes Sir," he said quietly, turning and producing his phone to make the call.
Reno looked over his shoulder with a grin.
"That's not something I hear often from pretty girls like you," he replied quickly, smirking at his own joke.
"But for you baby, anything."
He pushed the throttle to it's full extent, manoeuvring the helicopter with a practised ease.
