Yuna lifted her hand to her head as she looked around where they were. "I'm not sure... i feel" Yuna paused a moment to hold her breath before continuing. "A little ill"
She closed her eyes lightly in a long blink before looking up to her friend. "Where are we?"

Before Yuna and Aerith the Mako would stir, a massive bubble appearing and engulfing them, the crushing feeling of the Lifestream would disappear, and the bubble would begin to feel with noxious black smoke. Within the dark cloud something began to form, and soon a massive one-eyed head would emerge, much like that of a lizard with massive teeth. The great eye blinked at them for a moment before a deep rumbling voice, strangely androgynus, rung out.
So you are the pessssts. it hissed, The ones who could foil me... Strangely, the creature simply stayed watching, its snakelike coils writing in knots around its mighty head as it stared intensely at then with a large slitted eyeball.

Zack's grasp on Tidus' would slacken a little, but as Tseng began to speak to him it would tighten, as if there was some sort of reserve strength flooding into the SOLDIER's mangled body. He panted as he tried to move, some of the looser rocks at the top of the pile would fall loose as he shifted, managing to free his arm that was buried further away from Tseng and Tidus. Desperately he punched skyward, his fist crunching through the solid rock. There was air beyond into which it emerged, torn a bloodied.
He wanted out, he wanted to find Aerith... he needed to know she was OK.

"Don't hurt yourself Zack," Tseng warned.
He pulled away the last few rocks that covered his friend, with help from Tidus, who tried to help the raven-haired man up as he was uncovered.
The Turk crouched beside him.
"Before you start doing anything, drink this," he instructed, handing Zack a flask.
He glanced up as he heard rotary blades. Finally. That meant Reno was here.

While Aerith felt a weight taken off of her soul, her heart started racing in panic.
"You're the one who's hurting the Planet..." she said softly.

Rikku didn't wait for the helicopter to fully touch down on the ground, she flicked her hair from her face as she dropped from the platform. The wind caused by the blades caused her hair to circle around her as she scanned the remains of this old city. "Yunie?" Rikku called out before turning to watch Gippal follow her when the chopper was closer to ground.

Yuna lifted her eyes when a beast began to emerge from the green lights, coving her mouth in shock. " Why have you brought us here?" She stumbled slightly as she turned to face the beast, her legs were still slightly shaken from the past events.

Zack gulped down the fresh air of the open once the last of the rocks were removed from him. He'd been laying in a pool of blood, his own, leaking from a large wound on his head, obviously from where the rock had struck him before. The light hurt his eyes, but with a shaking hand he took the flask from Tseng, choking down the contents hurriedly. The world span even worse now that he was sitting upright with Tidus' help.

The creature stared for several long moments, its great eye surveying them so closely it was as if it were scrutinizing their very souls.
You seek to destroy ussss... It replied, its face moving closer to Yuna, its stinking breath on her. We will stop yooou... we muuusst. It lone eye then rolled to face Aerith, You cannot hide without the dark warrior to protect yooou...

"Dark warrior?..." Aerith questioned, the words bitter in her in her mouth.
She felt a sickening fear stir in her heart when she realised who this creature was talking about.
"What did you do to him?!"

Once Zack was upright and steady, Tidus immediately returned to desperately shifting the rocks and rubble.
"Yuna!!"

Tseng watched Zack with sharp eyes.
"How do you feel?" he asked as he heard someone approach.
He was worried for Zack's well-being after the collapse, even if his expression didn't show it...

Yuna didn't move her eyes from the beast, even when it's breath brushed over her. She held her breath like she would do for Blizball until she was able to breathe without the foul stench by her.

Rikku looked to reno who was driving the helicopter and waiting impatiently for him to land. Cloud was on the platform ready to leap off.

The creature gave an aggravated hiss as Aerith yelled at it, clearly not liking her aggressive tone.
If he is luckyyy... It began, it's drawling voice slow, He will die in the cave-in, the creature raised its massive barbed tail and thumped it on the ground, though seemingly not solid the motion still made a great booming sound, Or else he will die by our hand or wither with this miserable rock when we are done. It swept its massive head from Aerith to Yuna and back again, back and forth it an almost hypnotic motion. Your kind have foiled us before, such power.... but not this time, for you are to few. It began a sort of evil hiss of laughter, This worlds day is done, your efforts are uselessss.

Zack's head pulsed horribly, and it made focusing on Tseng very hard, the Turk's face shifted in and out of focus very quickly, the motion disorientating. Zack felt as if he was going to fall back for a moment, his consciousness teetering. His hand shot out to grab the first thing he could, the Turk's suit jacket. His eyelids fluttered as he fought the horrid pounding, though whatever had been in Tseng's flask was beginning to ease the pain.
"...Aerith...?" He breathed, trying to focus on something to keep himself awake.

Aerith touched the area over her heart as she felt it pound painfully, fighting back angry tears.
"You're wrong!" she yelled.
"Zack isn't going to die and neither is the Planet! What gives you the right to be here anyway?!"

Tseng managed to keep himself upright as Zack suddenly took hold of him, hearing the helicopter touch down and wind down.
"We're still looking..." he said, glancing away.

By the rubble, Tidus let out an agonised yell of frustration. He kicked the debris aggressively, his posture going stiff for a moment, before he limped off to clear more of the rocks.

Cloud looked to Reno who just landed the chopper. "Where were they?" He asked as he jumped off the step.

Rikku grabbed Rikku's arm gently and looked to her. "Rikku settle down, Yuna will be fine" Gippal said as he tried to calm down the stressed girl. Rikku looked to Gippal's hand and frowned slightly angry for him touching her.
"Oh so your comforting me now? It didn't seem that you were interested in anything else apart from that large breasted woman!" Rikku shoved Gippal hard away from her and began to make her way down the path away from the helicopter.
Gippal was frozen in his stance a little surprised by Rikku's sudden jealousy. " Rikku!" he called out but all he got was a flick of the girls blonde hair and a tongue poked towards him.

Yuna was confused for a moment. "Our kind? " she questioned the monster not even flinching when he slammed down his tail.. she wasn't scared.

The creature looked a little irritated by Aerith's claims, its tail lashing behind it.
The same force that gave you life gave life to usss! It declared in an aggressive voice, Our right to life is as justified as yours puny human. The voice began to lessen in aggression again, returning to that eerie calm. That which creates life is not as pure and fair as you would like to believe is it... The monster's tone was almost mocking, To think that which bore a race as 'pure' as yours would bare one such as ours... The evil mocking laughter rose up once more.
Its declaration to Aerith complete the creature turned its massive eye onto Yuna, Though you smell of different earth your blood bears that putrid stench that thwarted me on many a-world. That fetid race that impedes our existence.

Zack emmitted a strange noise, one that sounded much like a whine. His grip on the Turk's suit slackened and the SOLDIER tumbled backwards.
"No.... not that..." He choked, gripping his head as it began to seethe with even more agony, "I should've held the tunnel..." He rolled onto his stomach trying to push himself to his feet, "... Not that..." His words were barely coherent.

"It's not giving you life... you're taking it!" Aerith cried.
"What you're doing is so wrong!"

Reno shook his head.
"Somewhere in the old Shinra building. S'pose we'll find out where exactly soon enough."

"Take it easy Zack," Tseng frowned.
"I'll keep looking for her... she'll kill me when she sees you otherwise."
He didn't even falter on the 'when' even though he felt his heart tighten. He just moved over to continue shifting the debris, Reno soon joining him after a quick word to the President.

"Still no Aerith or Yuna?"
He took the Director's silence as a no.

Yuna agreed with Aerith but she was still so confused. " You are destroying millions of innocient lives. " Yuna said with a teary voice as she thought of the people who have already died. " How is it that we could be such a threat?!"

Cloud looked to Gippal and pointed to him when he saw Rikku beginning to wonder of.. "Can you please keep an eye on her.. i don't want more people lost." Cloud said as he waited.

Zack tried several times to stand, wanting to help Tseng in his search, but every time he stopped relying on the wall for support, his head would spin, knees buckle and he'd be back where he started.
"Please don't take her from me..." He whispered, his head pressed up against the wall as he tried to keep away the tears and keep hope in his heart.

Bah! The creature hissed, the aggression in its voice returning as its great tail whipped forward and dragged Yuna and Aerith into a tight squeeze as its massive head bore down on them. You little ants a threat? Please, we have no patience for humour. The creature snapped, its voice mocking and angry, We have learned much of this rock's history, and as such we deem that you puny wastes have no place to be dictating to us the correct use of this divine life-energy. It laughed darkly, eye shifting to focus solely on Aerith, This is our existence, we do not choose the path we walk, fate is our master. It hissed, its head bobbing as if it were really furious, What of your kind, dear 'pure' one? The theft of life energy your people commit, is that 'right'? Riddle us that.

Aerith struggled stubbornly against the creature's clutches.
"Don't you dare compare us..." she said between gritted teeth.
"Not everyone agreed with the use of Mako, and it was stopped when there was evidence it was hurting the Planet. You are knowingly destroying this world without any regard for anything but yourself."
