Yuna, Aerith & Tifa

[Yuna Braska]

Rikku looked behind her shoulder to check if everyone was still following, her Al bed eyes wide and on patrol. The crowd was getting a little thicker but Rikku didn't mind.

Gippal took in a deep breath and exhaled heavily, clapping his hands lazily as he swung his arms. He kept his eye on Rikku making sure that she didn't disappear.

Cloud rolled his shoulder to stretch it, in his mind thinking that they might be able to get in a fight today.. and find out whats happening to his planet.

Rikku looked to the edge of a street where a parent ran to a child, wrapping their arms around the small boy. The parent seemed rather upset so Rikku stopped to listen in.

Oh my dear boy! we have been looking everywhere for you... The woman held her son at arms length a little confused.
where have you been? did something happen! The husband seemed to run from the house down the street to meet with his wife.

Rikku frowned at the child's straight posture and silent nature, she moved closer to hear more.
Your soo cold.. come on lets get you inside The male began to push his son towards the street house but the boy grabbed hold of the males hand and flipped the full grown adult onto his back, a loud thud coming from the crack of the mans back. The woman began to panic by reaching for her husband, the male moaning in pain and his son pushed his mother away.

Rikku retracted her weapons, spinning them in either hand, her faced a little shocked by what she saw. "ummm GUYS!" She yelled out to her friends.

Yuna looked around at the area before following Rufus towards an unknown area down into a dark hallway.

Tifa turned the moment she heard Rikku yell, and in seconds her gloves were on and she was throwing herself into the fray, shaken to the core by the idea of a young child brutally attacking his parents.

"Time to work." Rude said to Reno, adjusting his sunglasses before following after Tifa.

Zack and the others entered the Shinra building after Rufus, the building was as crumbling and decrepit as it had been the last time Zack had been here... if not worse. Rufus lead the group up several flights of stairs before they reached the massive round office that had once belonged to his father... and to himself, though he was rarely here.
"The tunnel is this way..." He replied, not looking over at the desk... though it had bee replaced following his father's murder, he still thought of that horrid scene whenever he look at it.

Reno twirled his baton in his fingers before dashing after the martial artists. He seemed undeterred by the fact that his enemy appeared to be just a child... He was a Turk after all - he'd faced some situations that were a little on the questionable side before...

Tidus followed not far behind Tseng as Rufus led the way, sword held diligently at his side.

Rikku didn't want to hit the child.. her look of confusion was evident as she tried to decide what to do. But what she could see she decided to pull the woman away from the child to keep her safe. Though that was proving difficult with the child now running to attack her. Rikku pushed the kid back with her foot as she held onto the mother.

Gippal pulled out his large shotgun, pulling back the trigger to just shoot beside the kid placing a large amount of shrapnel into the wall behind him. "Oi!"Gippal yelled draw the kid away from the civilians and Rikku.

Cloud drew out his buster sword, the metal scraping against his holder slightly. He heard shots coming from where the others ran towards and cringed slightly. He hoped these people knew what they are and not allowed to do, but when he arrived it was but a small child. Cloud looked rather confused looking towards the woman which Rikku and taken away from the sidewalk and away from the battle.

Yuna was a little worried about the area they were going through, she had never been in such a place which looked like it could collapse at any moment. She didn't like being in here at all.. it was too unsafe. When they arrived at the round office, Yuna could breath a little lighter. "How long has these ruins been like this?" she asked low on breath.

"Several years now." Rufus replied to Yuna as they progressed down a long tunnel, that must have once been hidden by one of the bookshelves that now lay smashed to pieces on the office floor.
"Since Meteorfall..." He kicked aside a pebble, its noise echoing for a long time. The eerie thing was, despite how long these ruins had remained untouched, there were no spiderswebs... proof that no living thing could thrive here.

Paine was unsure of how to go about the situation when it involved a child, so she placed herself on crowd control. The moment Gippal had fired his warning shot, people began to scramble and scream in fear. Zack hadn't been kidding when he said Gaian's scared easily.

Tifa dived forward to try and help the others to wrestle the child into submission, but it was proving difficult as he thrashed at attacked with unnatural ferocity.

"Careful Tifa," Reno warned in a raised, but calm voice.
He didn't know whether it was such a good idea to tussle with an infected subject hand-to-hand...

Aerith came to a halt rather suddenly, eyes wide.
"It's gone..." she said, but from the look on her pale face, the final absence of the voices and the screaming wasn't a good thing.

Tseng had stopped out of concern for Aerith, but now he was looking around the building that surrounded him. There was a creaking noise somewhere further in the infrastructure. It seemed even more unsound than he remembered.
"Sir," he said to Rufus.
"I believe it would be best if we leave. Immediately."

Cloud decided that maybe now was not the right time to use his weapon, but instead he to helped to get the parents away from the child, the male being rather hurt from his encounter with the infected child. He picked up the male carefully and placed him near the mother. "Don't hurt him!"[b/] The woman yelled as she watched Tifa and the others try and restrain the boy.

Yuna stopped in her tracks, looking up to the ceiling as she heard the unstable complex creek and groan. She began to back away slowly.

Zack's hands whipped out in an instant, bracing against the roof that groaned above them.
"Everyone back to the office, double-quick." He grunted, hearing another groan and feeling a lot of weight start baring down on his shoulders. He watched with fear as other sections of the tunnel began to groan, there was no way before him to hold them all.

"Grab Aerith." Rufus instructed Tseng firmly, before making to push them all back down the tunnel...

Tifa recoiled with a shriek not long after Reno's warning, nursing a bleeding bite wound on her forearm, the boy's complete set of teeth imprinted in a bloody arch.
Rude reacted instantaneously, clearly not pleased by the child's attack on the fighter, he came up from behind and locked the kid in a very firm headlock.

"Tifa, I think you're better off in charge of diplomacy," Reno said as he moved forward to assist his partner in crime, pointing over to the parent's of the young, possessed child.

Tidus grabbed Yuna's hand as he realised the predicament they were in, following Rufus' ushering.

"Zack..." Aerith whimpered as Tseng scooped her up in his arms, holding her carefully and protectively.
The Turk now noted her trembles. It was strange to see her behave in such a way. He moved to adjust and tighten his hold as he rushed away, but the flower girl's stubborn streak suddenly returned and she squirmed from his weakened grasp.
"Aerith!"

The Cetra side-stepped Rufus, in case he tried to stop her too, to run back toward Zack.
"I'm not leaving you behind," she said firmly as she moved to join him again.

Cloud heard instantly when Tifa yelped from the bite she was given. He gently grabbed her waist and pulled her away from the child as far as possible. "Stay back" He asked with a soft voice as he looked at the wound on her arm.

Gippal kept his gun ready to scare the child again if need be.

"What's happening!? Give me my child!" The woman screamed frantically. Rikku held her back trying to calm the woman down. "Please... just calm down otherwise he might hurt you both again" Rikku spoke feeling a little scared herself, she had never seen anything like this.

Yuna held tight onto Tidus's hands as they tried to run back out of the tunnel, but her fear for Aerith and Zack was making it hard to actuley run at full speed. The ceiling was crumbling above them and the screams from Aerith echoed through the hall causing it to groan heavier.

"Aerith!" Zack hissed as the Cetra woman came rushing back to him, his teeth were gritted tightly as the weight of the tunnel bore down on his back, "Get out! i'll follow!" There was another loud groan from overhead and the muscles in Zack's arms bulged as the weight crashed down against him. He gave a grunt of pain but fought to keep it stable. "Go!"

"Hurry now!" Rufus insisted, helping Tseng out of the tunnel, reaching down then for Tidus, the tunnel didn't have long.

Tifa tried not to let the comments from the others put her down, even though it seemed she was no help in this fight.
"Please ma'am, you have to understand." Tifa said, trying to gently keep the desperate woman away from the fight, "That isn't your child, it is a creature pretending to be him."

"No," Aerith said stubbornly, shaking her head.
"I'm not--" She stopped short as a large piece of cement came hurtling toward her from above, making a suppressed noise of fright as she jumped out of its path just in time for the object to shatter where she had just been standing. Aerith paused for a moment to recover herself, before she looked up to Zack again.
"I'm not leaving you."

Tidus quickly accepted Rufus' help, before turning to help Yuna.

"I think it's best if we move this away..." Reno said to his partner as they tried to restrain the child.
"Too much public distress..."

Yuna turned to face down the dusty tunnel as the ceiling quickly began to crumble. Aerith and Zack were still down in the tunnel. She could hear Aerith's plead for Zack. Yuna looked up to Tidus before letting go of his hand. "I'll be right back" Yuna yelled back to him over the noise of the creaking tunnel. She dodged the few lumps of rubble that fell from the ceiling as she made her way back down. "Aerith! Zack! it's not going to hold for much longer!"[b/] Yuna said when she arrived, coughing from the dust. She took hold of Aerith's hand to pull her away from another falling piece of rubble.

"You can take him into the house" The male said still feeling love towards the possessed boy that attacked him. The male held a hand on his back, still in pain.

Rikku still held the woman tight as she continued to fret. "But where's my son?! " She moaned as the tears filled her eyes.

Zack's eyes filled with horror as Yuna joined them in the tunnel too.
"I told you to run!" He roared, the roof directly above him splitting open, "Get out!" He yelled in final desperation, but seconds later part of the roof above him broke away and hit his head, the SOLDIER dropped instantly, the ceiling he'd been holding up began to tumble down with him.

"No!" Rufus gasped as the tunnel collapsed with a puff of dust, "Dammit!"

Tifa tried to comfort the parents as best she could.
"Please... we don't understand these creatures yet... you have to try and calm down and let us deal with this ok? or people are going to get hurt."

Paine was busy trying to usher on-lookers to keep moving, her voice firm.

"Yuna! No!" Tidus yelled, rushing forward to follow after her, but Tseng pulled him back to safety as the opening collapsed. The Turk looked horrified though. After losing Elena, there was no way he could lose Zack and Aerith... certainly not at once...

"Za--" Aerith started, but that was as far as she got.
Even with Yuna's encouragement, she never made it out of the tunnel...
