POSITIONS:
Necromancer: 1. One who practices sorcery and divination by conjuring up the dead
Dragon Hunter: 1. Dragon parts are very valuable. 2. Their blood used in potions believed to grant immortality. - these are some of the reasons that men first hunt dragons - but once they have their first kill, it becomes an addiction. Once when dragons were plentiful they may have lived off of hunting dragons, but now, as the number of dragons diminishes, they take up jobs in hunting for other beasts - but they are always hunting for the dragon, lusting for the feel of power at overcoming the great beast. As a dragon is worth so much, once they cash in the parts, they can live off their profit for decades - but that doesn't slow down the need to continue hunting. These are a dragon's biggest predator.
Dragon Keeper: A dragon does not need a keeper to survive, but it is profitable for a dragon to have one. keepers have three traits defining them as such- 1. They have second sight from a young age. Second sight can come in a few different forms. It can allow the keeper to view the future, and it warns the keeper when there is a threat that their dragon is soon going to have trouble. This second sight is weak before they are with their dragon but the longer time they spend in the presence of dragons, the stronger the second sight becomes. For example, if there is a dragon hunter around, or if there are people intending to hurt their dragon, they can sense it. 2. They are left handed 3. They come from either of 2 family lines. The Huan family, or the Li family. The Li family were originally silk growers - raising silkworms on mulberry trees and spinning their fine, precious silk into gowns and other fine clothing and linen. The Huan family were originally Carpenters. Many descendants of the Li family still live in Lu-Lin (near Liang), but the Huan family are now few and far-beyond. Dragon Keeper facts - 1.Only in their dragon's presence, and with practice, are Dragon Keepers able to use and master their Qui. This is life energy. If a Keeper is very angry they are able to use this energy much more efficiently, but they must learn to master it without being provoked. Qui allows the Keeper to block weapons, disarm opponents, smash boulders in their way if needed - but when the dragon is not linked to them, Qui is extremely hard to summon, if not non-existant. 2.Dragons are unable to do certain things as light small fires to keep themselves warm, patch up wounds, etc. Because humans are small and dexterous, Dragons find them very useful. 3. Dragon Keepers generally live very lonely lives - spending from the time of being picked by their dragon to the moment of their death with their dragons. It is a commitment for life. As men do not live as long as dragons, a dragon will use it's Qui to support it's Keeper's life for as long as possible - up to 500 years.
Dragons Facts: 1. These magnificent beasts are very wise, and sometimes do not make a lot of sense. They speak the language of dragons, which humans do not understand. Although, after spending time with their keepers, they learn to communicate through their minds in the language their keeper speaks. But not so any human who is not a keeper - just to those select few who have been chosen. To outsiders, a dragon speaking or making any vocal noise, sounds like bells. An excited dragon sounds like many small, tinkling sounds. A frightened dragon will make cord of quick gonging noises, a sad dragon, low, drawn out notes as if being played on a flute, and the saddest sounds ever heard. Their Dragon Keeper will hear this, as well as their voice in their head over the sounds. 2. Dragons can control qui, but rarely do so. They do not have any ability of second sight. A dragon can see a mustard seed at the distance of 100 li (1 li is equivalent to half a kilometer) 3. Each dragon is gifted with one talent - shape changing, blending into their environment (for example if they were flying they would look like blue sky with clouds passing through, just as the sky above them is doing), or changing size. 4. Dragons can breath fire but only in large, blasting amounts - which is why humans are good as they are able to make small warming fires. 5. Dragons come in white, black, green, blue and yellow. When young, these colours are very shiny but dull with age. Dragons continue to grow throughout their lives. At 500 years old dragons grow horns and at 1000 years old, they grow wings. 6. Dragon eggs are called dragon stones and vary in colour. They must be cared for well and are very precious. If their Dragon Keeper is found before they are hatched, they bond to their Keeper already, but if their mother is alive, they will stay with her for the first 500 years of their life so that can learn how to fight, learn about the world around, which herbs heal and which hurt. A Dragon can choose when their eggs hatch. Twins can be born hundreds of years apart and this is done a lot with big hatches as dragonlings are very difficult to care for. Dragons are born as small as to fit across a forearm. 7. Dragons glow in the moonlight. Especially at full moon. 8. Dragons are poisoned by iron. Even being near iron weakens them.
Any additional information will be given during the roleplay.
Create your characters now. I advise you to choose which family they are descendant from, how old they are, what occupation they hold, where in the Chinese Empire they live. Do not create a dragon, and remember, there have been no dragon keepers for decades. If you wish you can tell of their small bit of second sight that has been found.

Name: Ita Ryuu Age: 16 Gender: Female lives: Kuaiji Decendent from: Li Family. Though she doesn't know this.
Appearance:
Personality: She is infinitely silent, it is very rare to hear her speak, let alone speak her mind. She is very shy and tends to avoid contact with people. Her anti-social behaviours have warranted her more than a few disapproving looks. She doesn't WANT to fit in with people, but she doesn't want to be alone either.
History: (Bits in italic she doesn't remember)Her family were killed at a young age but their murderer spared her life and took her with him. What followed was years of essential slavery, beatings and sexual abuse to the point where her mind began to break down in order to protect itself. The first thing to go was her memory. One night when she woke she didn't know where she was or why. There was a strange man in the bed beside her and she was covered in bruises... she was afraid. She didn't remember the threats he'd made all those years to keep her from running away, so there was nothing to keep her there. She fled, and ran for days without sleep, food or water. And soon she found herself in the town of Kualji. With no home and no idea where she is or what she should be doing, she's become a bit of a curio, sitting around with a blank expression each day.

History: Tia was sold into slavery when she was a young child. She worked for Mr. Lan until she was 11 years old. She did not even know her name. All she knew of her family, is that they were poor. Mr. Lan's job was the Imperial Dragon Keeper, but as the Emperor hated dragons, he had sent them to the furthest place away from his palace - Hunglang Mountain. She slept with the animals, even through the icey winters Many days Mr. Lan was lazy and neglected to feed her. Her job was that of which Mr. Lan should have done - taken care of the animals, and the two stupid beasts down in the dungeon at the back of the palace grounds. One day one of the beasts died, and Mr. Lan had dragged it out the the dungeon and burned it, taking out it's organs and making the dragon into pickle and putting it into Jars. Mr. Lan had made it as if the dragon had never died. As all this happened, the remaining beast had made loud noises, like the sound of cracked gongs slitting the air around them. Tia had been forced to help Mr. Lan. The next day, imperial guards came to the palace along with a dragon hunter. The Emperor wanted to sell the two dragons. But overnight Tia had coaxed the remaining dragon from the dungeon after overhearing how he was going to be slaughtered. The dragon made Tia carry 4 large stones in her pouch. She had had to carry the other two. They bonded and she accompanied him across China to a cave that he called "treasure Cave" where they put the dragon stones. They lived peacefully for a year after 2 years of running and hiding. Then, a dragon hunter found them and her dragon, Danzi, had been injured severely. He had flown away to the Isle of the Blest, which had healing waters, far across Ocean. Tia had been instructed by him when he finally told her his precious stones were actually dragon eggs, that she was to look after them for life and when they hatched, find them keepers and take the last dragons in existance to safety. He had left her with a mirror, signifying that she was Dragon Keeper, and a blank square or silk no bigger then her palm. She kept both in a pouch sown into her gown. Soon after Danzi left, four of the dragonlings hatched. For the last year she has been caring for them; barely getting sleep. Danzi had taught her very little about how to raise dragons, but from what he had told her, she had enough to be able to care for them as well as she could for now.
THE DRAGONLINGS!!!
Yu-Lu : The name of Danzi's mate. This little dragon is female, purple and very feisty. She enjoys playing hide and seek with her brothers and sister, while Tia is chasing after her all the time and making sure they don't wonder off. She does not make it easy for Tia.
Danzi : Named after his father, he is red and very cocky. He enjoys teasing the girls and jumping around as well as climbing as high as he can in trees; even if he somethings gets caught and Tia has to climb up to retrieve him. He is the largest of the dragonlings.
Kai : This boy is royal blue in colour and very excitable. He sleeps more then the other dragonlings, but does love to play. Tia believes he is the smartest of them so far as he has learnt to say the most words. He enjoys bathing in the sun and spends his spare time with his nose stuffed into Tia's food pouch or snuffling around the two unhatched Dragon Stones, where the other dragonlings have shown no interest in them.
Tika : She is the smallest of the dragonlings and a bright gold in colour. She is very sweet and loves the water, often disappearing with Danzi and Yu-Lu into the well near Treasure Cave. She can shape-Change, and plays games with Tia such as: what am i now where Tia has to find what she is that wasn't there before. Maybe a fallen twig, maybe an extra dragon stone.

Name: Derenza Chai Decendent of: Huan Age: 16 Gender:Male lives: moves around, is in training to become an imperial guard, is currently heading towards Kuaiji due to confirmed sightings of the sorceress. History: Derenza's Family have all traditionally been educated in the trade of blacksmithing, His grandad, a remarkable blacksmith and talented swordsman forged a blade with hammer and fire. After the sword was forged, his grandad taught his father in the art of swordsmanship. By the time his father Died, Derenza had been taught in the unique style of fighting passed down from his grandfather, And had also, like his father, had improved on the swords design. The blade is forged from copper, due to the fact that Derenza's family was never wealthy and most money went too food, Iron was too expensive too purchase often due to its cost.

Name: Jerim (Li) Rui'na Age: 18 Lives: Jincheng Family: He lives with his adopted family in a country village near the a large hunting grounds north of the capital. His foster father is a addicted hunter for anything that walks around his property. He leaves the home to him and his foster mother for sometimes years at a time. His father is named Dangri and his mother Leihonu.
History: Jerim was found abandoned close to the village of his home and was only a few months old. His father found him on a hunting trip and brought him back to his home for his wife as they were unable to have children for their own anyway. He has learned for Dangri about hunting and mostly uses his favourite Bow and arrow when on hunting trips with him. He takes care of his mother and over the years have never ever left his Village. He hopes one day that his mother wont need him anymore and he can search the surrounding lands and explore. For the meantime he is stuck in his village trying to learn the little he hasn't already learnt about hunting. It was hard for his father to teach him so mostly had to learn by himself because of his opposite use of hands. IN the end he just made his own bow and arrow so it wouldn't be so difficult.

Personality: He is very caring of his foster family and knows that they are not really his real parents. He looks up to his father because of his great hunting skills though he doesn't like it how he goes away from home for ages at a time and leaves his mother alone with him making her upset. He doesn't mind company and is a optimistic about a lot of things.

Name: Shuxiu (Li) Jiang [pronounced 'Shoo-Zee-oo] Age: 17 years Lives: travels around, though have been at Kuaiji for a while now.
family: She lives with her brother, and her brother only. The two were left on the road as children and have relied on each other since to survive. They are thieves and good ones at that. They were once of the Li family.
history: At the tender age of 3, Shuxiu and her brother were left on the roadside during a rainstorm. After near death from sickness, the two have decided to trust no-one but each other. growing up side-by-side they had to scavenge and steal to survive and gained many skills over time. They have been through some scrapes and together they have lived to be who they are now. However Shuxiu's brother injured his leg once and now relies on his sister to bring food and drink back to their temporary home in the outskirts of Kuaiji.

personality: often cold and harsh, she doesn't much care for others, or at least it seems so. She does care, but she prefers to keep it hidden, she often makes excuses for helping others and will usually speak rather impolitely though she doesn't swear. A cunning and creative thief, some consider her too good to beat, though she prefers to stir up trouble before making an exit, just for the fun. She makes her clothing herself, out of stolen materials and prepares meals for her brother and her most days.

Appearance: Imagine that, but without the cape, the hat and the pointy ears. >.>
Personality: Kangyi's confident almost to the point of cocky; and that's about EVERYTHING, from his dress sense to his cocky grin. Nonetheless, he has a good sense about what's right in the world, and doesn't back down from a challenge too easy. He's innovative, meaning he likes to find new ways of doing things all the time.
History: Having many sisters in his family, and all of them being all about the work of silk weaving, he grew bored of his day-to-day chore, and had always despised the image his father had. Knowing full well that his family would be disappointed in him at best, he fled the town to find something new in life.
He was only passing through Kuaiji to see Ocean, which he'd never seen before, when he was captivated by the town's difference from his own home town, and decided to stay. In the years after his arrival, he took it upon himself to train himself in the art of swordplay. (I might add more later on.))
