The girl withdrew her katana from the sheath on her hip, but suddenly stiffened and threw her dagger behind her. A groan came from the shadows and a body fell to the floor.
"I'm not honor-bound, and quite frankly, I don't feel like fighting you. Bloodlust might make you stupid and desperate, but it makes you powerful and I plan to come out of this alive."
She jerked her head in the direction of where the body of a young boy now lay thanks to her good aim.
"You need it more than me obviously," she said in a mocking tone.

Lance's eyes flicked to her katana with a wary, eager gaze, his ears not really listening to what she was saying. Then he watched the boy slump forward from the shadows and he twitched, as if ready to lunge and suck him clear in spite of her. But it was to his surprise that she offered the kill to him.
"Is there a catch." He queried, every muscle in his body quivering as it took all the restraint he had to stop himself from just taking the risk... he was cautious by nature.

"Yeah; if you don't hurry the hell up, I'll take him myself," she said impatiently.
She re-sheathed her katana and stepped out from the shadows into the moonlight, finally making her features visible.
She brushed a dark brown curl from her eyes and placed a hand on her hip. "Hurry up, I need my dagger back."

Lance gave one final warning hiss as he dashed past her, his warning that should she attack him while his back was turned, there'd be consequences.
The moment he sank his fangs into the kill he felt instantly alive again, his eyes returning to their usual colour and his senses peaking back to normal. He straightened and wiped the blood from his mouth, turning to face the woman he had attacked, a much more civilized look on his face.
"Thankyou." He said plainly, in his gentle voice.

The girl simply shrugged indifferently before bending down to retrieve her dagger from the victim's chest. She wiped the blood from the blade onto her fingers, then tasted it like a chef would taste a sauce they were preparing.
"Count yourself lucky," she said, twirling the dagger in her fingers before turning to leave.

"Lucky that i ran into you? Or lucky that you were a vampan that could defend itself?" He gave a playful grin before jumping up onto a balcony and then the roof above to seek out his friend once more.
